If you didn’t already know this, we’ve been hosting a virtual running challenge for the past month. We’ve postponed all of our events from March 14 – May 29, 2020 but we still wanted to give everyone a chance to stay active, have fun, and give back.
Today on the podcast, we’re sharing part of our happy hour chat that we had with members of our virtual challenge community and Colin Rath. co-founder and co-owner at Migration Brewing in NE Portland.
Colin shares just a bit about how he and his family are doing, how the brewery is doing, and a few ways you can continue to support them and other local breweries.

About Migration Brewing
I’m a HUGE fan of Migration, and I’d probably say it’s my favorite brewery in Portland. That’s not to take anything away from any of our other breweries, but Migration was the first brewery I discovered when I moved to Portland, the closest to our house, and the one we probably frequent the most. We have a standing Friday happy hour with a bunch of other parents from my kid’s school and tends to be the local gathering place with friends. Also, they are a SUPER cool and thoughtful group of individuals.

Colin Rath is the co-owner and head of day-to-day operations at Migration Brewing, located at 2828 NE Glisan Ave in Portland Oregon. Along with partners Mike and Kevin, they have created an amazing community gathering place since February 2010.

We belive that when one of us succeeds, ALL of us do. As the saying goes, a rising tide raises all ships. During our chat with Colin, I asked if there was anything else we could do to support them, besides simply buying beer. Suprisingly, he said supporting other breweries helps them to.

We don’t care if you’re a runner, walker, or something else. We just care that you’re active! We often have 10 – 15 participants who walk our events!
