The Oregon Brewery Running Series is proud to announce the launch of our NEW Podcast! You can find it on iTunes, Stitcher, or Google Play.

For the past nine months, we’ve been interviewing all of our participating breweries, nonprofit and business partners, as well as a host of interesting people from the beer and running communities of Portland. It has been fun to learn a bit more about each of their unique stories, and share them with you.

Up until now, these interviews have only been available on our YouTube channel and blog. While that’s great, most of us don’t have the time to sit down and watch a whole video.

One of the things I love about podcasts is that you can listen to them while you’re doing something else. I enjoy listening to them while I’m in the car (without kids of course), doing something around the house or while running. My brain seems to retain more when it’s active.

What you can Expect from our Podcast

We plan to release a new episode every Monday so you can start your week with us. We will continue interviewing new partners and community members but will re-edit and re-release old interviews for an audio format. For example, if you missed our chat with the legendary brewer, John Harris, watch for the podcast version down the road. If you’ve always wanted to know Mark Remy’s wisdom for running, we’ve got that too.

We also plan to interview more of you, our participants, to find out what makes you tick. If you have an interesting beer or running story you’d like to tell, contact me.

Listen Now!

At the moment, we only have three episodes up, but subscribe in your favorite podcast player to get updates when we release new episodes.

Here’s what you can find there now.

Episode 1: Drew and Nathan – What is The Oregon Brewery Running Series?

To kick things off, Drew and I riff about why we started the Oregon Brewery Running Series, what we love about it, and what we’re looking forward to during the upcoming fall series.

Episode 2: Tim Shoenheidt, Stickmen Brewing

Stickmen Brewing has been around since 2012, with a fabulous location on Lake Oswego, and a new production facility in Tualatin. We’ll be running at the Tualatin location to close our the fall series on November 11. I met up with Tim, the co-owner, for a beer and to talk all things Stickmen. Find out why he doesn’t want any of his beers to taste the same!

Episode 3: Run Oregon Blog, Kelly Barten, and Matt Rasmussen

Run Oregon began in February of 2006 as a way to share running news and event calendars for Oregon and SW Washington. Today, they have become the go to place on the web for this news as well as race reviews. They help regular runners find all sorts of different races. In this episode, I ask them to share some of their favorite races around the state you can run (when you’re not running with us of course!).
