Another great season of beer run fun is in the book! What an AWESOME way to close out the summer, with an incredible 5K run / walk at Laurelwood Brewing in Northeast Portland. The 112 runners who participated ran fast on a (mostly) flat course. The weather was perfect, but not as perfect as the Laurelwood beer at the finish line!
As always, what made the day most special was the energy, encouragement for one another, and enthusiasm for running far and drinking local! It may sound cliché, but the women and men who participate in our events make it worth while. We’ve been slowly developing a “regular” crowd that is joined each time by the marvelous newcomers.

What’s Next?
We have a break until October 21, when we’ll be running at Baerlic Brewing in SE Portland. Until then, find a local running group, or signup for a race and stay in shape. Set a small goal for yourself so that when we see you again in a few months, you’ll be ready to tear up the next 5K!
