We’re all about partnerships here at the Oregon Brewery Running Series. Without them, we literally couldn’t organize these 5K fun runs. But more importantly, a huge part of why we started his was to build a community of like-minded people. Gathering folks who love running, craft beer and making the local community better, is what it’s all about.

We’re kicking off 2017 by heading out to some events around Portland, hosted and sponsored by a few of our great partners. Find us at the following events in January, and we’ll hook you up with 20 – 50% off your series registration.

Here are a few more details about each of these marvelous events!

Bridgetown Beer House

Located just off historic Mississippi Ave in North Portland, Bridgetown Beer House is a beer bar and bottle shop, offering nearly 500 different types of bottles and cans. It’s a great place to discover a new beer to take home or enjoy one of their eight rotating taps. They have a carefully selected selection of craft beer, and you’re guaranteed to find an old favorite, or discover something new.

According to their owners:

We are passionate about craft beer; this is shown by how the beer is stored under UV-filtered light, kept at approximately 38°F, and constantly rotated. We do not overstock or over-order from our distributors as we strive to have the freshest product available. We often have limited, older vintages of beers for sale that are worthy of cellaring and will continue to improve with age.

On Wednesday, January 25, 5-7 p.m. join us for the pFriem Family Brewers tap takeover and appreciate the varied styles that they offer and master. While we aren’t doing a run with pFriem this year, we hope to in the future. The event tap list includes:

  • Citrus Zest IPA
  • Mosaic Pale Ale
  • Brett Brux Pale
  • Scotch Barrel Aged Imperial Brown
  • Blåbær Blueberry Lambic

Migration Brewing’s Celebrating the Craft Event

On Thursday, January 26, from 6 – 11:30 p.m. join us in Migration Brewing’s Annex space for a chance to taste a variety of rare and unique beers and to meet the artisans from some of the best breweries in Portland at the Celebrating the Craft event. A great neighborhood brewery (where we’re hosting a 5K on July 22), Migration (2828 NE Glisan) is all about creating a space where people can come together to celebrate whatever it is they’re into.

“All Beer is Craft, but not all Beer is Crafted the same way.”

We’re excited to hangout at this event because several of the breweries that are hosting our events in 2017 will be in attendance. Brewers from:

10% of the event’s proceeds will go to benefit the National Brain Tumor Society. Migration already has amazing food, but they will be doing a special menu for the event featuring a collaboration between Ben Meyer of Old Salt Marketplace & Travis Surmi of Migration Brewing.

Base Camp’s Collabo Fest

On Saturday, January 28 from 2 – 8 p.m. join us at Base Camp Brewing (930 SE Oak St) in “celebrating the collaborative spirit and creativity of Portland’s innovative breweries!”

Base Camp’s Collabofest pairs select local breweries together to create new and exciting collaboration beers especially for this event. By working with local breweries, local nonprofits, and Travel Portland, Base Camp’s Collabofest is a festival that not only celebrates great beer and great people, but also the unity and camaraderie within the Portland craft beer community.

We love Base Camp, especially sitting under the tent around a fire on a cold winter’s evening. The breweries at this year’s line-up include 6 that we are working with, but several other amazing breweries as well.

Tickets are $25, but a portion goes back to their two nonprofit partners, SheJumps:PDX and Oregon Timber Trai.

We hope to see you out there at one or more of these events in January. Contact us if you’d like to meet up, grab a beer, and register for one of our events at up to 50% off!
